Hello enthusiasts! the waiting is over now. The Xiaomi 14 series is now global. It comes with two models- Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Ultra outside China. This series is unveiled at MWC 2024 in Barcelona.
The Xiaomi 14 series is the lone compact flagship in Android, besides the Galaxy S24. It boasts superior specs and carries a higher price tag than Samsung’s offering.

Xiaomi 14
The Xiaomi 14 has a slightly different design compared to the Xiaomi 13. Its camera island is bigger and lacks lines. The phone has a metal frame and a glass back. It’s about 8.2mm thick and weighs around 193g.
It features a 6.36-inch flat OLED display. This panel offers a resolution of 2670 x 1200 pixels (1.5K), 460 PPI, and a 1-120Hz refresh rate (LTPO). It also comes with 3000 nits peak brightness, a 10-bit DC dimming support, Dolby Vision, and a Gorilla Glass Victus protection on top.
This monster is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset and paired up with 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
On the back, it features a Leica-tuned triple camera setup. All of these are 50MP modules. The main camera has a wider f/1.6 aperture and a larger 1/1.31” sensor with dual-pixel PDAF. The telephoto camera features a 75 mm equivalent 3.2x zoom lens, while the third camera is an ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, it offers a 32MP selfie camera.
It boasts a 4,610mAh battery and supports 90W wired, 50W wireless, as well as 10W reverse wireless charging.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra
Xiaomi recently unveiled the 14 Ultra exclusively in China. Its screen, a 6.73” LTPO AMOLED panel like the previous model, now boasts a peak brightness of 3000 nits. Xiaomi incorporates a specially designed protective sheet, Shield Glass. It seems like it features a leather back panel.
It is also powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen3 chipset and paired up with 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.
The primary 50 MP camera now has an improved variable aperture, reaching a brighter f/1.6 and offering stepless adjustments for all positions in between. Additionally, it features a new 1”-type sensor. The 5x telephoto camera, the 3.2x telephoto camera, and the ultra-wide-angle shooter remain unchanged from the previous model, using 50 MP Sony IMX858 sensors sized at 1/2.51″.
Surprisingly, in Europe, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery, just like its previous model, but it’s smaller than the 5,300 mAh in China. on the fast charging support, it can charge up to 90W wired, 80W wirelessly, and 10W in reverse. The phone comes with HyperOS, based on Android 14, right from the start.
Pricing and color options
The smaller Xiaomi 14 comes in Black, White, and Jade Green. It offers two storage options: 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB, starting at €1,000.
The powerful Xiaomi 14 Ultra is available in Black or White, priced at €1,500, with one storage variant: 16GB/512GB.
Both phones include free screen repair within the initial 6 months of purchase.
