Today Apple has officially announced the new MacBook Pro, and it's powered by a choice of M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chips. The M4 Pro and M4 Max are new, and have also been unveiled today "to form the most advanced family of chips ever built for a personal computer", Apple proudly boasts. The M4 Pro has an up to 14-core CPU with 10 performance cores and four efficiency cores. Apple says it's 1.9x faster than the CPU of the M1 Pro, and 2.1x faster than Intel's Core Ultra 7 258V.
