Motorola has been working with its Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026 for a few days. We are expecting the launch event as soon as possible. Ahead of the launch, some renders of this duo have been revealed along with some promo materials and some key specs.
The upcoming Moto G 2026 models will arrive in North America, continuing the lineup after the Moto G 2025 launched in January. The phones showcase Motorola’s signature design language, though the thicker bottom bezel feels slightly outdated. Thankfully, Motorola has moved past the notch design on these devices.
Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026 key specs
The Moto G 2026 may come with a 6.7-inch 120Hz HD+ screen with up to 1,000-nit peak brightness (“which clearly suggests the use of an LCD panel”). This display features Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top.

The Moto G 2026 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 SoC. It features 4GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
On the rear panel, it may sport a 50 MP main camera and a macro sensor. On the front, it would feature a 32 MP selfie camera. A 5,200 mAh battery with support for 30W wired fast charging would feature this device.
Compared to the previous model, the Moto G 2026 only brings a few upgrades, including a higher-resolution selfie camera and a slightly larger 5,200 mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Moto G Play 2026 comes with notable cutbacks: 64GB storage, a 32MP main camera, an 8MP selfie camera, and support for 18W wired charging. Both devices will have Android 16 operating system.
Motorola continues its Pantone partnership, with the Moto G 2026 launching in Pantone Cattleya Orchid and the Moto G Play 2026 in Pantone Tapestry. Motorola hasn’t confirmed the launch date, but the Moto G 2026 series will likely debut before January.
