Vivo recently launched the Vivo Y500 with the Dimensity 7300 processor and a massive 8,200mAh battery. Now, Vivo has officially confirmed the launch of the Vivo Y500 Pro with a 200MP Samsung HP5 camera. This marks the first time a Y-series device carries such a high-resolution sensor. Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao announced that the phone will be available in China later this year.
Camera details of Vivo Y500 Pro
The Y500 Pro will include a 200MP Samsung HP5 primary camera with an f/1.88 aperture. While the number looks impressive, this is not the flagship sensor. The upcoming Vivo X300 series, set to launch on October 13 in China, will use the Samsung HPB 200MP sensor. That version is an upgraded model of the HP9 and offers better flagship-level imaging.
Leaks suggest the Y500 Pro could be a rebranded Vivo V60e. The V60e is scheduled to launch in India in October with a similar 200MP setup. Both devices may share design elements and internal hardware, making the Y500 Pro a global variant of the same phone.
Expected specifications of Vivo V60e

Reports indicate that the Vivo V60e will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The body could carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water protection. Inside, the Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor is expected to power the device. The V60e could ship with a 6,500mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging. It may also include up to 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and run on FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15.
The phone may feature a dual rear camera system comprising a 200MP main sensor and an 8MP secondary lens, as well as a 50MP front camera.
