Display and Design
The Realme 15x comes with a 6.8″ HD+ 144Hz LCD with 1,200 nits of peak brightness. Realme claims the display supports Smart Touch, allowing the phone to work with wet or oily fingers, gloves, or even inside waterproof bags. The Realme 15x is 8.2mm in thickness and weighs 212 g.
Durability and Endurance
The Realme 15x also meets MIL-STD-810H standards and carries an “IP69 Pro” rating. This isn’t a new IP rating, and even the IEC Technical Committee, which sets official IP standards, hasn’t announced it.
The Realme 15x is rated IP66, IP68, and IP69. Realme added the “Pro” label to highlight that the phone meets IPX6, IPX8, and IPX9 standards simultaneously, along with additional water-resistance capabilities beyond existing norms.
Realme also claims that with “IP69 Pro,” the 15x can resist 36 types of liquids across a temperature range of 0°C to 85°C. However, the company hasn’t published a detailed list of these liquids.
Processor
The Realme 15x is powered by the Dimensity 6300 SoC, and paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card. It runs on Android 15, based on Realme UI 6.
Camera
On the rear panel, it sports a 50MP primary camera, using the Sony IMX852 sensor, accompanied by one unknown secondary sensor. On the front, there is a 50MP selfie camera featuring the OmniVision OV50D40 sensor. The Realme 15x offers several AI-powered camera features, including AI Landscape, AI Eraser, AI Ultra Clarity 2.0, AI Glare Remover, AI Motion Deblur, and AI Image Matting.
Additionally, this device has a Pulse Light on the rear for notifications. It can glow in nine colors and five glowing modes.
Battery
The Realme 15x sports a 7,000 mAh battery with an 80W charger. However, the Realme 15x only supports 60W fast charging. It also supports 6.5W reverse wired charging, so users can charge other devices using the phone. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
Pricing and Availability
The Realme 15x is available in Aqua Blue, Marine Blue, and Maroon Red. It comes with two memory options: 6GB/128GB and 8GB/128GB, priced at INR16,999 ($190/€165) and INR17,999 ($200/€175), respectively. Both models are on sale in India through Realme’s website, Flipkart, and authorized stores.
