Finally, Vivo launched the Vivo V70 series today in India, including the Vivo V70 and V70 Elite. Vivo V70 arrived with some major upgrades over its predecessor, Vivo V60. Here’s all you need to know about the newly launched Vivo V70- Specs, design, pricing, and availability.
Vivo V70 Gets Brighter 120Hz OLED Display, Ultrasonic Fingerprint, and Slimmer Aluminum Body
The Vivo V70 has replaced the V60’s quad-curved 6.77” display with a flat 6.59” 120Hz 10-bit OLED display (1,260 x 2,750px) offering peak global brightness of 1,800 nits and peak local brightness of 5,000 nits.
The new model upgrades to a durable 6-series aluminum alloy frame, replacing the plastic chassis and featuring a finely polished premium finish.
In addition, the slightly smaller display size makes the device easier to hold. The phone now measures just 74.3mm in width, compared to 77.0mm on the V60, giving it a slimmer profile.
Moreover, the thickness has been reduced to 7.4mm or 7.6mm, depending on the color option. Previously, the V60 measured 7.5mm or 7.8mm. The weight has also dropped. The new model weighs 187g or 194g, while the V60 came in at 192g or 201g.
One of the standout upgrades is the new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It delivers faster unlocking, stronger security, and better accuracy than the previous optical scanner. As a result, users get a more responsive and secure smartphone experience.
Durability Upgrade: IP69 Protection and Schott Xensation Glass
Despite its slimmer build, the V70 matches—or even exceeds—the V60 in durability. It carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust, water, and high-pressure water jets, has passed 1.8m drop tests, and features Schott Xensation Core glass for enhanced display protection.
Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and 6 years of OS updates
Hardware-wise, there’s no change under the hood. The phone continues to run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.
The Vivo V70 ships with Android 16 and OriginOS 6, promising long-term support with 6 years of OS updates and security patches, an upgrade over the V60’s shorter OS update cycle.
Vivo V70 Camera Offers Versatile Focal Lengths and ZEISS-Style Bokeh
The Vivo V70 will sport a triple camera setup: a 50MP Sony LYT 700V main camera with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. The phone can record 4K video at 60fps, while the V60 was able to record at 30fps.
The Vivo V70’s main and telephoto cameras provide five popular focal lengths for portrait shots: 1x/23mm for wide landscapes, 1.5x/35mm for street-style portraits, 2.2x/50mm for classic framing, and 3.7x/85mm and 4.3x/100mm for close-up shots. Users can also enjoy a variety of ZEISS-inspired bokeh effects to enhance background blur and artistic depth.
Vivo V70 Long-Lasting 6,500mAh Battery Performance
The Vivo V70 comes with vivo’s semi-solid 6,500mAh battery, delivering long-lasting power for demanding tasks. It can handle up to 11 hours of PUBG or 5 hours of 4K video recording at 60fps. Designed for extreme conditions, the battery runs Google Maps for 10 hours at 40°C (104°F) in hot environments and 8 hours at -20°C (-4°F) in cold climates. Fast charging is supported with 90W vivo FlashCharge, keeping the device powered quickly and efficiently.
Connectivity and Color options
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB 2.0, covering all the essentials for everyday use..
The phone is available in four colors: Authentic Black (this is the thin and light version), Canary Yellow, Alpine Gray, and Sandalwood Brown.
Availability and Pricing
The pricing is set at ₹45,999 for the 8GB/256GB variant and ₹49,999 for the 12GB/256GB storage option. The vivo V70 will arrive soon in Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
