Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco has launched the Poco X8 in the global market today. The Indian launch is also confirmed for September 4, along with an extra X8 Power variant. Poco has also launched the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max in March.
Xiaomi Poco X8 Global Specifications and Features
The Poco X8 features a 6.83-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen with a 1280×2772 resolution, 12-bit color depth, DCI-P3 color gamut, and 3,500-nit peak brightness. For eye comfort, the display supports DC dimming and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. It also has TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light, flicker-free operation, and circadian-friendly use. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
It measures 163.45 x 78.27 x 8.6 mm and weighs 223g. It has IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. POCO says the phone passed a two-meter water-resistance test lasting 72 hours. It also survived a three-meter drop test.
The X8 is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC and paired with 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. It runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3 on top.
For photography, it sports a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls.
The Poco X8 features an 8,340 mAh battery with support for 67W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging. The company promises it will last at least 1,600 charge cycles before the capacity drops below 80%.
Among other features it includes, Google Gemini, Circle to Search, AI Erase, dual-video recording, NFC, an infrared blaster, dual speakers, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Poco X8 Price and Availability
Poco X8 comes in three colors: black, white, and orange. This device is available in three storage configurations: 6/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB. The Poco X8 starts at $269 for the 6GB/128GB storage model. The 8GB/128GB model will cost €399.99, and the 12GB/128GB variant is available at €449.99. In Europe, the early-bird offer is available for both €319.99 and €359.99.
